I’m Kayla,

the laid back, adventure seeking, down for anything creative.

Four years ago I was protecting my city as a police officer during the day, and sometimes at night. Although playing cops and robbers is fun, I quickly knew that something was missing. I was searching for what truly makes me happy, a way for me to express myself emotionally and creatively and thats when I fell in love with photography.

I dusted off my Dad’s old DSLR camera and jumped right in, teaching myself everything, and gaining knowledge through trial and error along the way. The decision to start my own photography business had lit a spark in me. I had no idea what would come of it, or that it would lead me to where I am today. Something about capturing the love of two people and their stories truly fills my heart and I know this is what I am supposed to be doing.

I am passionate about the raw and real emotion coming through in the photographs. Each client is different and unique in their own special way. Which is why I like to get to know my clients on a personal level so that I can truly capture how they are through my lens.

I took what I learned and moved across the country to Colorado and documented countless love stories in the mountains. My time spent in Colorado will always hold a place in my heart. My husband and I started our family there and we are now back home in Ohio raising two beautiful boys.
